DIRECTOR’S NOTE

Friendship enriches your life, but friendship is a scary proposition, as scary as “Do you want to dance?” On behalf of everyone on the production team, thank you for saying yes and coming here today. We have enjoyed working together to bring this production to life for you. We hope you enjoy the dancing and the story of how an unlikely friendship came to be—a friendship that begins as a decidedly masked ball, but transforms into a warm and moving pas de deux.

CAST BIOS

Georgia Athearn (Lily Harrison) has been involved in theatre since the 1970’s. Trained in Chicago at the famed St. Nicholas theater and the Goodman School of Drama, she has graced the stages of Chicago, Denver and Albuquerque. Favorite roles include Blanche in A Streetcar Named Desire, May in A Fool for Love, Dr. Martha Livingstone in Agnes of God, Claire in Steel Magnolias, Thelma in ’Night Mother, and Sarah Bernhardt in Memoir. Recent Adobe appearances include Quartet, Greetings, Calendar Girls and The Red Velvet Cake War. A special thank you to Terri Klein and Jason Godin.

Jason Godin (Michael Minetti/Costume Design) is more than a costumer. At the age of seven, he was Peter in a Las Cruces Community Theater production of Peter Pan. Soon he was performing regularly at New Mexico State, and the Black Box Theater. Later, in New York, he performed off-Broadway and off-off Broadway. Jason was last seen on the Adobe stage as A.C. Peterson in The Outsider. Jason is thankful for his children, Natalia and Sebastian, and also for Mark and his amazing family. This performance is dedicated to Jason’s grandmother Marie, a professional dancer who taught him
many of the moves you’ll see in the show.
