Board of Directors
Executive Board
President: Nancy Sellin
Nancy Sellin has a background that includes acting, teaching, playwriting, producing, and directing. After graduating from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, Nancy went on to perform on Broadway, Off Broadway, and Regional Theatres across the U.S. for the next 30 years. Nancy went back to teach at her alma mater for seven years and honed her directing and writing skills. She also taught acting to professional actors, as well as in public schools for special needs students. After moving to New Mexico, she became involved in ALT and the Adobe as a director, finding the theatre community in Albuquerque one of the best in the country. She finds it innovative, interesting, creative, and highly satisfying.
Vice President: Danial Anaya
Secretary: Terri Klein
Terri Klein is a performer, playwright, and poet. She also stage manages and directs. She joined the Adobe board in 2025.
Treasurer: Jerry Hines
Jerry Hines has been active with the Adobe Theater since 2021 and was elected to the Board of Directors in February, 2024. He was the Stage Manager for Greetings! and The Mousetrap and is now working in lighting design. Jerry has worked with other Albuquerque theaters as
stage manager, deck chief, lighting assistant and designer, and running crew member. He is eager to share his knowledge in support of the mission of the Adobe Theater.
Business Manager: Barbara Boyd
Barbara Boyd is new to New Mexico having lived in Ohio all of her life until 2017. Before coming to New Mexico, she worked in Information Technology for a large insurance company based in Columbus. At the end of her insurance technology career, she served as CEO of a small nonprofit technology company that provided early warning indicators of children at risk for Columbus City Schools. Barbara holds degrees from Capital University (B.S.), Franklin University (M.B.A.), and The Ohio State University (Ph.D.). She enjoys watching live theater with her husband Bruce Wright and helping manage this wonderful organization so that talented actors, directors, and others can share their gifts with you!
Board Members
Member at Large: Pete Parkin
Pete Parkin graduated from Pasadena Playhouse College of Theatre with an MFA in directing where he did his thesis on the Black Theatre movement. He has been on the Adobe Board since early 2017. Pete took the lead on creating the Zoom theatre during the pandemic that kept the Adobe going in front of our audience during that time. He has been a designer/director here as well as ALT, Vortex, West End, Actors Studio 66, East Mountain, and MTS.
Member at Large: Jason Godin
Member at Large: Clair Gardner
Clair Gardner made her Adobe Theater debut in the Adobe’s 2022 production of The Dinner Party. Clair has also appeared in the Adobe Theater’s productions The Hollow, Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley, The Outsider, Death by Design, and Jekyll and Hyde. Clair has been a board members since 2024 and enjoys supporting community theater!
Member at Large: Dan Ware
Dan Ware has called New Mexico home since 1981. Following a few years of theater in high school and college, Dan returned to the stage in 2015, first in Farmington and then in Albuquerque along with his wife Rhonda. A graduate of Eastern New Mexico University, Dan has worked in radio and television, and spent almost 12 years as the New Mexico State Fire Information Officer with the New Mexico Forestry Division. He currently serves as a communication specialist with Sandia’s Environment, Safety and Health office. In addition to volunteering for the Adobe Board, Dan previously served on the YMCA Camp Shaver Board and with the Ventana Ranch Neighborhood Association.
Steven Higgins
Steven Higgins is a “Greenhorn” from the east, relocating to New Mexico in 2017 following his retirement from the US ARMY. The spark for his interest in theater, like most, ignited in high school and college, during the 20th century. Between then and now Steven worked 6 years in Radio and courtesy of the ARMY had the opportunity to visit some of the “garden spots of the world.” Steven’s association with the Adobe Theater began 2022 with casting as Hoke Coburn in Driving Miss Daisy. Along with volunteering in support of productions, Steven has been on the Adobe stage in The Women of Lockerbie, Inherit the Wind and the musical The Bridges of Madison County. In 2025, Steven accepted an invitation to join the Adobe board and invites you to experience live theater within the intimate confines of the Adobe Theater.

By Arther Miller, The Crucible is a 1953 play that dramatizes the Salem witch trials that took place in Massachusetts. Miller wrote the play as an alegory for McCartheyism, when the US government persecuted people accused of being communists.
The Cast
By David Nehls and Betsy Kelso, The Great American Trailer Park Musical explores the relationships between the tenants at the Armadillo Acres Trailer Park in Florida, particularly between Pippi, “The stripper on the run,” the Dr. Phil loving agoraphobic, Jeanie and Jeanie’s tollbooth-collector husband.
